FORMER ATTORNEY GENERAL OF KANO STATE AND PAST CHAIR NBA KANO BRANCH IBRAHIM MUKTAR ESQ ENDORSES OKEY LEO OHAGBA FOR NBA GENERAL SECRETARY.

Distinguished colleagues and friends,

As our noble association prepares for the critical elections this Saturday, July 18th, we must prioritize institutional excellence, administrative competence, and innovative leadership for the NBA Secretariat. It is against this backdrop of necessity that, having known him for many years, I proudly endorse Okey Leo Ohagba for the office of NBA General Secretary.

Having served the Bar as a former Chairman of the NBA Kano Branch and managed public legal administration as the former Attorney General of Kano State, I understand firsthand the structural coordination, administrative precision, and inclusive leadership required to run a secretariat as vital as ours. Okey Leo Ohagba possesses these exact qualities in abundance. He is a visionary with demonstrable knowledge of the modern strategies needed to transform the Secretariat into a highly responsive and technologically driven hub for all lawyers.

With just a few days left to the polls, we stand at a critical crossroads to make the right choices for the future of our Bar. I urge all my friends, colleagues, and bar leaders across the country—North, East, and West—to double our efforts and rally behind a candidate who understands our collective professional aspirations and has the capacity to deliver.

*Okey Leo Ohagba remains our best foot forward for the office of NBA General Secretary.*

Thank you, and may God bless the Nigerian Bar Association.

Sincerely,
Ibrahim Muktar, Esq.
- Former Attorney General & Commissioner for Justice, Kano State

- Former Chairman, NBA Kano Branch
