J-K GADZAMA LLP CONVENES HON. JUSTICE ENENCHE, JCA, BODY OF BENCHERS CHAIRMAN AND SECRETARY TO ITS 9TH ANNUAL MENTORING PROGRAMME

In the past 35 years, J-K Gadzama LLP has shown its commitment to nurturing the next generation of legal minds through its various mentoring initiatives; one of which is the Hon. Justice Chukwudifu Oputa JSC (Rtd) Annual Professional Training and Mentoring Programme for Young Lawyers, in its 9th edition.

This year’s edition, which held from 22nd to 24th November, 2024 featured engaging and insightful sessions on capital market, intellectual property, arbitration, and artificial intelligence.

The Event, which was chaired by Honourable Justice Eleojo Enenche, JCA, had Chief Mela Nunghe, SAN, as the Keynote Speaker.

In the opening remarks, Honourable Justice Enenche, JCA emphasized the significance of mentorship in the legal profession; highlighting the mentoring roles of Chief Joe-Kyari Gadzama, SAN, and Chief Mela Nunghe, SAN, as instrumental in shaping his professional journey.

The event was enriched by the physical presence of the Chairman, as well as the Secretary of the Body of Benchers, Asiwaju Adegboyega Solomon Awomolo, SAN, and Daniel Manasseh Tela, Esq., who respectively delivered inspiring and thought-provoking remarks on the theme.

The event hosted a number of other renowned speakers such as Dr. (Mrs.) Ugoji Adanma Eze, Dr. Nestor Ikeagu, Dr. Fadila Abubakar Sodangi and Mr. Lamar Joe-Kyari Gadzama, who addressed the participants; sharing their insights and expertise on designated areas of law. Through the interactive sessions, the speakers further addressed the teeming curiosities of the participants, ensuring that every participant left the event highly motivated and better enlightened.

The young lawyers, who participated as mentees, took turns to share their joy and gratitude as beneficiaries of the Programme.

The Mentoring Programme is a testament to J-K Gadzama LLP’s long-standing commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and mentorship within the legal profession. The Programme remains a vital part of the firm’s efforts to support the professional growth and development of young lawyers.
