A TRUE BAR MAN IS GONE

It's so painful to say adieu, Frank Onwuachi Esq. How do I say adieu to Frank? When a colleague and a friend die in the hands of kidnappers like Onwuachi did, it sends a dangerous message to other hard working Lawyers who toil day and night to help the less privileged.

F.O. Onwuachi Esq. Was a committed and devoted Barr man. He was the first chairman of NBA Otuocha Branch. Immediately the Branch was chartered, the leadership responsibility of the new Branch was entrusted on his shoulders and as usual he did not disappoint the Branch.

He was a friendly fellow, always ready to share his wisdom and offer any assistance within his reach. A great team player. Onwuachi and I worked closely in the committee of Chairmen and Secretaries of NBA, Anambra State. He was an open person and a jolly good fellow.

Just few days ago at Barr. Ada Obinna Edozie father's burial in Enugu on 5th day of March, 2021 we sat on the same table where we shared drinks and so many things together, little did I know that it was our last meeting.

As Lawyers, we are gradually becoming endanger species in this country. Recently, one of our colleagues in Owerri was brutally and primitively murdered in his Chambers by unknown men who macheted him to death.

The question is, how can Lawyers protect themselves from the cruel hands of these vampires? Onwuachi, it is very difficult to say "ADIEU".
Bar. Sabastine Anyia.
