MATTER OF URGENCY

Gentlemen, one of our staunch members, Barr. F. A. Onwuachi was kidnapped on Friday, 12/3/2021 around 7:30pm along Ezu river/Anaku road in Ayamelum Local government area.

The kidnappers have not made any contact with the family up till this moment.

The Nigerian Bar Association Otuocha branch is calling on the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Willie Obiano to take proactive measures to ensure that our colleague returns safe and unites with his family unhurt within 72hours .

We equally call on the security agencies in Anambra State to ensure that our colleague, F.A.Onwuachi who has been in captivity for four days now is released immediately.

We state categorically that Anambra State is in shambles in terms of security. Nobody is safe in Anambra State if a lawyer can be kidnapped and four days thereafter he has not been rescued.

We are calling on all the lawyers in Anambra State to boycott court session in all the courts in Anambra State from Wednesday, 17th March, 2021 until our colleague returns home safe.... Okafor Anthony Uche Esq, Chairman, NBA Otuocha branch
