NBA ONITSHA BRANCH WADES INTO THE MATTER OF ABUSED LITTLE CHILDREN AT FEDERAL HOUSING ESTATE, ONITSHA

Recall that on Friday February 19th, 2021, the internet was awashed with terrible dehumanising news of abused and starved little children, with body injuries, locked up, in an apartment known as 16 Akunwata Oramulu street, Federal housing estate Onitsha, in one of the flats downstairs, by the landlady addressed as "Nwanyi Ekpere" and one other woman.

Upon being rescued by the Security operatives, these little children were taken to the hospital for prompt and proper Medi care.

The NBA Onitsha Branch, through the Chairman, Steve Onyechi Ononye Esq, and the Branch Vice Chairman/Chairman Human Rights Committee of the Branch, Mrs Wilcox Iwuchukwu Esq, have already written to the New Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Police Command, indicating the Branch interest in both the outcome of the investigation and prosecution of the offenders to serve as a deterrent to other members of the Society, who may be tempted to emulate the barbaric and wicked act of those women.

Consequent upon that, this morning, Wednesday, Feb 24th, both Officers of the Branch visited the Kids at the hospital where they are admitted, and to the glory of God, they are all responding to treatment and are doing fine.

One Sergeant Flora, attached to 33 police station was handy at the hospital, taking care of these children. She now answers Mummy, the kids call her.

The Branch will ensure that Justice is duly served in this matter.

Noel Udeoji Esq.
Assistant Secretary,
NBA Onitsha Branch
