Edo State Football Association Congratulates Benin Writers Society on Historic Anthology Launch

The Edo State Football Association (Edo FA) extends its warm congratulations to the Benin Writers Society on the trailblazing launch of Edo State’s first-ever literary anthology, “Stanzas from the Bronze Capital.”

This historic achievement is an epoch-making milestone in the cultural history of our State, and it is especially noteworthy that it is championed by the Society’s President, Douglas Ogbankwa, Esq., an avowed sports enthusiast and a passionate supporter of football. His leadership and vision continue to inspire initiatives that bridge creativity, culture, and community.

We also commend the fruitful partnership between the Benin Writers Society and the Naija Poetry Fest, ably led by Godson Osarenren, which has culminated in this remarkable project. It is collaborations such as this that push the boundaries of innovation and showcase Edo’s intellectual and cultural heritage.

In addition, Edo FA congratulates the Society on the successful staging of its poetry event, “Battle of the Stanzas,” held over the weekend, which further demonstrates the depth of talent and artistic vibrancy in our State.
