Federal Road Safety Corps partners Apapa LG on Traffic Management

On Wednesday, July 19, 2023, a courtesy visit was made by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) led by Sector Commander of Lagos State; Babatunde Farinloye to the Executive Chairman of Apapa Local Government; Hon Idowu Adejumoke Senbanjo.

The purpose of this visit was to discuss various areas of collaboration and explore the potential for implementing FRSC projects as a pilot scheme in Apapa.
 
During the meeting, representatives from the FRSC provided enlightenment on the roles and functions of the federal road safety agency. They emphasized the FRSC's commitment to promoting road safety, reducing accidents, and ensuring the safety of road users across the country.
 
Apapa, being a major port and an economic hub, experiences heavy vehicular traffic and poses unique road safety challenges. Utilizing Apapa as a pilot scheme offers an opportunity to assess the effectiveness of FRSC initiatives and their potential impact on improving road safety.
 
The Executive Chairman of Apapa Local Government expressed appreciation for the visit and acknowledged the importance of road safety in the community. She assured the FRSC representatives of her commitment to supporting their initiatives and working together to improve road safety conditions in Apapa.
